Husker football picked up a Houston area offensive lineman by the name of Dwayne Johnson. 6’6, 275 pounds guard who could play tackle and possibly center picked NU over Arkansas after a hard push from Hogs new head coach Bret Bielma. Johnson is ranked the 93rd best player out of Texas. He’s the fourth player from the state of Texas, the most of any one state. NU has pulled players from 12 different states and Canada.
The Huskers have a projected 26 commits, still awaiting word on Louisiana’s Trevell Dixon. He’s flip flopped on NU three times. His decision still in the air between NU, Houston and Arizona State. He could play receiver or defensive back. Bo Pelini is also waiting on Maryland native Jaquille Veii, a wide receiver who will make his announcement at 10:30 between NU, Iowa and Maryland.
