There are few confirmed flu cases in Nebraska’s largest county.
Douglas County Health Director Dr. Adi Pour says there have been 1,900 lab confirmed cases of the flu this season. That is the most seen in the past 10 years. There were 96 fewer cases last week than the week before.
Dr. Pour says while this is good news there is another health concern. They continue to see an increase in those suffering from respiratory virus infections. These cause infections of the lungs and breathing passages and are a major cause of respiratory illness in younger children.
