Heavy snow is heading our way

National Weather Service graphicCrews across Nebraska are getting their snow plows ready for what weather forecasters say is a significant snow system targeting the Midwest later this week. Brian Miller is a Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Valley and says it is a bit too early to tell how much snowfall this storm packs but early indicators show a half-foot or more.

Snow is expected to start Wednesday afternoon, continue through the overnight hours and through Thursday. The snow will then start to taper off late Thursday.

Miller says the snow is widespread and will cover most of Nebraska into Iowa, South Dakota, southern Minnesota and down in to Missouri and Kansas.
