Concerns about the heavy snowfall expected to hit Nebraska Wednesday evening has prompted the University of Nebraska to re-schedule its men’s basketball game with Iowa.

The schedule called for the Huskers to tip-off with the Hawkeyes Thursday evening. The game has been moved to Saturday with a 1pm tip-off at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

The University of Nebraska and the University of Iowa made the decision in conjunction with the Big Ten Conference.

The university says the move has been made to protect the safety of the basketball players, the fans and game-day personnel. The Saturday date was open for both schools and can be made without triggering other scheduling adjustments.

Tickets purchased for the Thursday game can be used on Saturday. Tickets remain available for Saturday.

The game originally had been scheduled for ESPN2. Broadcast information about the Saturday contest will be forthcoming.
