NU baseball game on Saturday moved up one hour, Friday’s opener cancelled


The Nebraska baseball team announced on Thursday morning that the Huskers’ game on Saturday, March 2 with New Mexico will start one-hour earlier than previously announced, with first pitch now set for 1:05 p.m. The game was previously set to start at 2:05 p.m., but due to the cool temperatures, the Nebraska coaching staff is moving the game one hour earlier to take advantage of warmer weather.


Thursday night they announced Friday’s home opener has been cancelled and will not be made up. Nebraska will start junior Brandon Pierce on Saturday and junior Christian DeLeon on Sunday, which starts at 12:05 p.m.
