Miles won’t be the first to break Big Ten tradition (AUDIO)

The Nebraska men’s basketball team will face Purdue on Thursday in their Big Ten tournament matchup at United Center, Chicago. Head coach Tim Miles said Purdue may be the hottest team entering the tournament and knows his 10th seeded Huskers will have their hands full. Nebraska is 14-17 overall with an 11-4 non-conference record, which could be enough to entice tournaments like the CBI or CIT to come calling. However, Miles said it is highly unlikely that he or Nebraska would accept such an invite.

No Big Ten team has ever gone to a tournament other than the NCAA or NIT and Miles thinks he doesn’t want to be the first, citing too much tradition in the conference.
