You’ve heard about the $6,100 bid on ebay that went unclaimed for the Jack Hoffman signed trading card. What started out as an unfortunate story has now turned into a big win for the Team Jack Foundation.

Beckett News reported that three offers of $10,000 each came in to Mike Schnoor, owner of Prep 2 Pro Sports in Norfolk, NE., to purchase the three Jack Hoffman cards that were signed in silver. “We had at least a dozen people call looking to buy the card,” Schnoor told Beckett Media on Tuesday. “We are just overwhelmed with the generosity.”

Upper Deck created the promotional cards to help raise money for pediatric cancer awareness. Hoffman received national attention when he ran for a 69-yard touchdown in the University of Nebraska’s spring game in April.

One of the buyers was Desperate Housewives actor James Denton, who lives in Minnesota. Jack and his family had the opportunity to meet Denton yesterday.
