The University of Nebraska and Uplifting Athletes, a recognized student organization that started at NU about a year and a half ago, are putting together the first ever Nebraska Football Uplifting Athletes Road Race, presented by the Lincoln Track Club, on July 21. The inaugural event hopes to raise awareness and funds for pediatric brain cancer.

“This wouldn’t be just helping Jack Hoffman; it would be helping thousands of kids who are afflicted with brain cancer,” said Keith Zimmer, Associate Director at Athletics of Life Skills at the University of Nebraska. He tells us how the event came about and how you can join. Click here to register for this event.

Both a 1-Mile Fun Run and a 5K Run will be offered. The Fun Run will begin at 8:00 a.m. CST with a registration fee of $20.00. The 5K will start at approximately 8:30 a.m. CST with a registration fee of $30.00. No race day registrations will be accepted.
