The United Way of the Midlands kicked off their 2013 fundraising campaign this morning in Omaha. Shauna Forsberg is the Senior Vice-President of Marketing for the organization
and says their goal is $24-million.
Forsberg says 32 agencies have been selected to benefit from this year’s campaign and they fund more than 130 programs in Douglas and Sarpy County in Nebraska and a portion of Pottawattamie County in Iowa.
The United Way focus on programs that benefit academics, basic and mental health needs and financial services for those in the three county service area.
