Twenty-three travel writers visiting parts of Nebraska this week

Twenty-three journalists and travel writers from national and international outlets are touring Omaha and northeast Nebraska this week to showcase what the state has to offer. Kathy McKillip is the Executive Director of the Nebraska Department of Tourism and says hosting events like this exposed more than 84-million people and potential visitors to what Nebraska has to offer.

Representatives from Food & Wine, USAToday, Forbes, New York Post, Kansas City Star, American Cowboy and Meeting Focus are a few of the outlets visiting Nebraska this week.

McKillip says they will be visiting and attending events in Omaha, La Vista, Gretna, Ashland, and Fremont and have scheduled visits planned in northeast Nebraska.

The Department of Tourism states this is one of several writers’ tours to Nebraska. Statistics show that resulted in 144 articles or broadcast segments from various media outlets that showcased what Nebraska has to offer.
