No. 15 Midland University men’s basketball continued its winning ways with a strong defensive effort on Thursday, holding No. 19 St. Thomas University to its lowest offensive output of the season en route to a 60-48 Warriors victory. Galen Gullie matched a career high with 21 points in the win. Gullie averaged 19.5 points per game as Midland went 2-0 in South Florida during the Cruzin’ Classic, against two ranked teams. The Warriors are now 13-1 on the season, having won 10 straight. St. Thomas falls to 7-3 after the loss.
The day before, the Warriors upset No. 7 Indiana Wesleyan University, 85-81 on Wednesday in day one of the Cruzin’ Classic.
