Three from California busted on marijuana charges after I-80 traffic stops

Troopers have seized slightly more than 14 pounds of marijuana in two separate traffic stops on I-80; both cars stopped for following too closely.

The Nebraska State Patrol reports one trooper stopped a car eastbound on I-80 near the 56th Street Interchange in Lincoln. Another trooper stopped another vehicle two miles further on I-80. Drug dogs sniffed out the drugs in both cases.

An investigation indicates the two vehicles were traveling together.

Three people face drug charges from the stops. All are 22-years-old. All are from Truckee, CA.

Martin Pearson, the driver of the first car, is charged with possession with intent to sell drugs. The same charge faces Dakota Fox, the driver of the second car, and a passenger in her car, Kelly Wright.
