Creighton forward Doug McDermott has been named of of 10 national semifinalists for the 2014 Men’s Naismith Trophy. From March 3-17 the voting academy will select four finalists from this group. Those finalists will be announced March 23.
McDermott is a semifinalist for the Naismith Trophy for the third straight season.
He leads the nation in scoring (26.0 ppg.) and has climbed to 10th on the NCAA’s all-time scoring chart with 2,917 career points. A two-time First Team All-American, he also leads Creighton in rebounding and is the focal point for one of the nation’s most efficient offenses.
