The Nebraska Cornhuskers shot 4 for 21 from three point range and lost their second round NCAA Tournament matchup against Baylor by the final score of 74-60.

The Huskers missed five shots and five free throws during a span of 5:50 early in the game that let Baylor jump out to a 12-3 lead. NU also turned the ball over five times during that stretch.

Baylor built a 13-point lead by the half, up 29-16 at the break. Isiah Austin hit a three to start the second half, giving the Bears a 32-16 advantage. Ray Gallegos hit a three-point to cut the lead to single digits at 38-29 with 14:33 to go. Baylor then went on a 6-0 run and Tim Miles was ejected with his second technical foul.

Terran Petteway led NU with 18 points, but shot just 5 of 15 from the field. Shavon Shields had 16 and Gallegos added 15.

A point of contention for Miles was the free throw discrepancy. NU was 10 of 16 at the line. Baylor was 38 of 48.
