Huskers fill a spot at center as Georgetown transfer comes to Lincoln

The Nebraska men’s basketball team has added 6’9, 247 pound center and Georgetown transfer Moses Ayegba. He’s a fifth-year senior and will eligible to play immediately after he earns his undergraduate degree in May.

He spent four years at Georgetown, but said he was looking for a change. He was recruited to play with the Hoyas by current assistant coach Kenya Hunter.

Ayegba told the Lincoln Journal Star his relationship with Hunter played a key role in him coming to Nebraska. Indiana, Boston College, Miami and Long Beach State also showed interest in Ayegba as a transfer. Last season at Georgetown, he averaged 13 minutes in 31 games, roughly two points, two rebounds per game,  and 23 blocked shots.
