Petteway wins Nebraska’s MVP awards as Huskers celebrate their basketball season

The Nebraska basketball team celebrated their successful season Monday evening with a season-ending banquet at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The crowd saw the Husker players receive their NCAA Tournament watches, and heard from head coach Tim Miles who wants more, saying, “We want to raise the bar of Nebraska basketball. I don’t want to win one game in the NCAA. These guys don’t want to win just one. They want to be the team that gets into the second or third weekend, like other teams in the Big Ten are doing.”

The Jack Moore Award for Team MVP went to sophomore Terran Petteway, who earned first-team All-Big Ten honors, as he led the conference in scoring at 18.1 points per game, becoming the first Husker since 1981 to lead Nebraska in scoring in conference play.
