Kylee Muir’s grand slam turned the tables and powered the Huskers to an 8-3 victory over Indiana. That victory, along with Wisconsin’s victory over the sixth-ranked Wolverines in nine innings, ended the conference title drought for the Huskers with its first Big Ten title and first conference title overall since 2004.
The Huskers produced their first 40-win regular season since 2006. With the victory, Nebraska improved to 40-14 on the year, and the Huskers finished Big Ten play with an 18-5 record, marking the highest conference win total in school history.
Nebraska turns its attention to this week’s Big Ten Tournament in Evanston, Ill. The Huskers will open play on Friday as the No. 2 seed and will face the winner of #7 Ohio State and #10 Penn State.
