The Omaha Storm Chasers (13-16) picked up their second straight win against the Oklahoma City RedHawks (16-15) winning 4-1, behind another solid performance from Triple-A newcomer Sugar Ray Marimon. It was Omaha’s first back-to-back wins since April 17 and 18 against Round Rock.
Marimon went seven innings allowing just one run, 6.2 scoreless innings before allowing a solo homer in the seventh. The right-hander has made three career starts at Werner Park, and has given up only three total runs in 17.1 innings (1.56 ERA) while registering 18 strikeouts.
The seven innings were his longest career Triple-A start, and tied for the longest start by an Omaha pitcher this season. Marimon has accounted for three of the four wins by Omaha starters since April 9.
