Last call for tickets to this year’s Cattlemen’s Ball

It takes more than a year to get ready for Nebraska’s Cattlemen’s Ball. Event co-chairman Jeff Heldt says they are putting the finishing touches on the event June 6th and 7th at the Hoot Owl Ranch in Banner County. He says events include a golf tournament, wine tasting, several auctions, dancing and a concert by Montgomery Gentry. He says even though it is the Cattlemen’s Ball you don’t have to be involved in agriculture to attend.

Proceeds will benefit the Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Heldt says 10% will stay in the host community and will be used for a health related cause.

Heldt says they will have to cut ticket sales off in a few weeks and tickets are going fast. Ticket prices are $350 and that includes events both Friday and Saturday. Tickets for Saturday only are $75. For information about the ball and to purchase a ticket log on to cattlemensball.com.
