An Omaha man was walking in his yard at 68th and Pacific Streets Wednesday afternoon and made a shocking discovery. He found a cat that had been impaled by an arrow. The man contacted the Nebraska Humane Society and animal control officers picked up the cat.
Director of Field Operations Mark Langan says the cat was rushed into surgery and the arrow was removed. He says the cat may need more surgeries because of this cruel act. The animal is now recovering at the Humane Society.
Langan say they are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
The cat is a neutered, dark colored male. He is believed to about a year old.
