Omaha companies make a donation to Manning’s foundation

PeytonManningPeyton Manning put Omaha in the national spotlight when he called out the city’s name several times during the post season.

The Denver Bronco’s quarterback was in Omaha on Thursday and says, “I never thought a football play call word would turn into a way to raise money for kids that are going through tough times. It surely could have been free publicity for the city but you didn’t stop there and I truly thank you for it”

Seventeen Omaha companies made a donation to Manning’s Payback Foundation for each “Omaha” shout he barked out during two post season games. Those companies presented Manning with a check for $68,000.

Manning was also presented with a key to the city.
