Bond set for suspect in deadly hit-and-run

31 year old Pedro Diego-Antonio is charged with motor vehicle homicide, felony DUI and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. His bond is set at $300,000. Diego-Antonio is accused of hitting and killing Creighton University Dr. Edward Horowitz around 4:30 Sunday afternoon at 38th and Dodge Streets in Omaha.

Investigators say Diego-Antonio left the scene but his vehicle was located several blocks away and he was taken into custody. His blood alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit.  Records show Diego-Antonio had been arrested for DUI before.

A second person in Diego-Antonio’s vehicle will not face charges.
