Pizza for Pilger collects $72,000 for tornado victims

Many in Omaha ate pizza for lunch and dinner on Monday. Twenty-six pizza restaurants took part in Monday’s fundraiser to benefit the tornado victims of Pilger. They sold cheese pizza’s for $12 each with all of the proceeds going to the Salvation Army to directly help those in need.

Jeff Daley is the owner of Ragazzi’s Pizza and says in all about 6,000 pizzas were sold bringing the grand total to $72,000. He says at times there was a two hour wait at both of his restaurants and he appreciates everyone’s patience in getting their order and their support.
