Separate accidents in Panhandle claim two lives

Two people have died in separate car accidents in the Panhandle.

According to the Nebraska State Patrol, 38-year-old Joni Lee Twiss of Pine Ridge, S. D. died when her sports utility vehicle rolled over on 320th Lane near Rushville Tuesday morning.

71-year-old Jesus Javalera-Chavez of Colorado Springs, CO died in another rollover accident Wednesday evening. The NSP reports Javalera-Chavez lost control of his car when he tried to avoid something on the roadway. The car veered into a ditch, then rolled up to three times, according to the patrol.
