Nebraska has signed volleyball coach John Cook to a contract extension. The new five year deal will keep Cook under contract through the end of the 2020 season and he will earn a base salary of $600,000.
“We are thrilled and fortunate that John Cook, one of the best volleyball coaches in the nation, will be leading our program well into the future”, said Nebraska athletic director Shawn Eichorst. “John has done a tremendous job and I know our program will reach even greater heights in the coming years.”
Cook is coming off his 16th season at the helm in which he led Nebraska to its third national championship. The Huskers have made six appearances in the Final Four and captured 10 conference championships.
“I am truly grateful for the opportunity and privilege to coach at Nebraska”, said Cook. ” I look forward to our volleyball program continuing to compete for championships in front of the best fans in college sports.”
