Scott Schreiber homered twice, part of a 22-hit attack for Nebraska as the Huskers rolled to a 15-2 victory over Creighton at TD Ameritrade Park. Schreiber finished the game with five hits and drove in five runs as the Huskers claimed two of three games in the season series against the Bluejays.
Schreiber now has 15 home runs on the season and Tuesday marked his third multi-home run game of the year, the first time a Husker has done that since 2006 when Brandon Buckman also had three multi-home run games.
Nebraska improves to 34-18 overall and will close out the regular season with a three game Big Ten series at home against Indiana beginning Thursday.
It was the second game of the day for Creighton, which topped UNO 2-1 earlier in the day. The Bluejays fall to 34-14 and head to New York City for Thursday’s start of a Big East series against St.Johns.
