The Omaha Storm Chasers rode the pitching arm of Christian Binford to a win at Reno. Binford tossed eight scoreless innings, allowed only four hits and struck out seven in a 3-0 victory. Omaha got the only ruin it would need in the top of the Third inning. After the first two batters were retired, Brett Eibner walked, advanced to second on a single by Hunter Dozier, and scored on a single by Jorge Bonifacio to give the Chasers a 1-0 edge.
The victory improved Omaha’s record to 24-18; they gained a game on Oklahoma City, and trail the Dodgers by just a half-game for first place.
The Chasers return to Werner Park on Monday to begin an eight-game home stand against Albuquerque.
