Nebraska opens the Big Ten Tournament this afternoon in TD Ameritrade Park by taking on Michigan State. The Huskers are the second seed after posting a 16-8 record in the league’s regular season race and they enter the tournament having won eight of their last nine games.
“You talk about a fresh start or keeping momentum it does not matter”, said Nebraska coach Darin Erstad. “You get into tournament time you have got to go earn it. There is going to be a lot of hungry teams out there.”
The Huskers are 37-18 overall and won two of three games against the Spartans in East Lansing.
The tournament opener is at 9:00 a.m. and features Indiana against Maryland.
