A former Chadron resident has been sentenced to 19 years in prison for producing child pornography.
Federal prosecutor Deborah Gilg reports 39-year-old Jesse Lucio will have to serve 10 years of supervised release after leaving prison. He also will be required to register as a sex offender.
Lucio was sentenced in Lincoln Thursday by U.S. Senior District Judge Richard Kopf.
In September of 2015, a call came into the Chadron Police Department that claimed Lucio was sexually assaulting a minor female. The person calling in the report also indicated to police Lucio had made a video of the sexual encounter.
Police seized a tablet computer that contained two videos depicting Lucio and the minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
Lucio later confessed to Chadron police to having sex with the minor and recording the act.
