Charges have been filed against Bellevue City Administrator Dan Berlowitz in connection to a disturbance at a the Bellevue Family Practice Dentistry on June 21st. Sarpy County Attorney Lee Polikov says after reviewing the police report he decided charges are warranted.
Polikov says, “In many ways this is a straight forward case. A couple of people were involved in a dispute. One of them felt victimized. They filed a police report. The police report showed probable cause to show that a crime of simple assault and trespass was committed.” Berlowitz was also charged with disturbing the peace.
Apparently the altercation stems from Berlowitz’s wife, an employee at the dentist office, had been terminated. Berlowitz is accused of having physical contact with her former employer and refused to leave the office after being told several times to do so.
Berlowitz is on administrative leave. His arraignment is scheduled for July 27th.
