The 4th of July holiday weekend turned deadly in Omaha after a series of shootings at three locations. Around 2:50 a.m. Tuesday, Omaha police officers responded to 27th and Laurel Avenue to investigate a shooting. When police arrived they located the victim outside of a home suffering from a gunshot wound. 25 year old Sam Bradley was rushed to a hospital where he later died.
The first shooting happened just before 1 a.m. near 42nd and Lake. That man was rushed to a hospital in critical condition after being shot in the back. Minute’s later police were sent to 27th and Camden for another shooting. The victim was also transported to a hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the leg.
The investigations are ongoing and police are asking that if anyone has information to call Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP.
