The Nebraska football team held its first scrimmage of fall camp on Saturday and coach Mike Riley says the goal of the scrimmage was to get the first and second unit about 25 plays and then let the new and younger players see some action.
Riley says one surprise of the scrimmage was the play of the defensive line.
“I think for sure our defensive line is on the rise”, said Riley. “We have got to continue to develop some pass rushers but overall that group looks solid.”
The Huskers will have a busy week with nine practices over the next six days.
