A Broken Bow woman has been found guilty of abusing her 20-month-old nephew, leading to his death in November of 2013.
A jury in Custer County returned the guilty verdict against 26-year-old Brittney Pryce, found responsible in the death of 21-month-old Noah Pryce while in the care of her and her mother.
The jury returned its verdict after an eight-day trial.
Police reported in 2013 Noah sustained a suspicious head injury while in the care of Pryce and her mother, Diane Hill. Noah was taken to Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, where he died.
Originally, both Hill and Pryce were charged with second-degree murder. Prosecutors dismissed the case against Hill, then downgraded the charge against Pryce to child abuse.
Pryce faces a sentencing hearing on November 10th; the possible sentences ranging from 20 years to life in prison.
