Heavy rain and a bit of hail hit mostly northeastern Nebraska as storms passed through the eastern portion of the state overnight.
The National Weather Service reports some areas of the state received more than six inches of rain.
Some rain came down hard.
In Stanton County, storms dumped more than six inches of rain, nearly two inches in one hour, closing a few roads.
Reports of golf ball-size hail fell in Washington County.
Heavy thunderstorms rumbled through Douglas County Thursday afternoon into the evening. Though tornado sirens sounded, no tornado was spotted.
