Nebraska offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf says the Husker offense needs to finish off drives this Saturday when they open the Big Ten race at Northwestern. The Wildcat defense has yielded nearly 400 yards per game in a 1-2 start but teams are only scoring a little more than 14 and a half points.
Langsdorf says a key will be finding a way to run the ball in the red zone.
“They have been pretty good down low in not giving up a lot of points”, said Langsdorf. “We have got to do a good job of blocking their looks. They have got a really solid linebacking corps and that is the strength of their defense.”
Husker senior receiver Jordan Westerkamp says the Northwestern defense has been a tough matchup.
“They are super fast and athletic, especially their linebackers”, said Westerkamp. “We have to make sure we are prepared like were the last couple of weeks.”
