Nebraska coach Mike Riley says senior tight end Cethan Carter and senior wide receiver Jordan Westerkamp may miss the October 15 game at Indiana due to injury. Carter injured an elbow and Westerkamp sustained a back injury in the Husker’s 31-16 win over Illinois.
“I don’t think Jordan and Cethan will make it for the next game but possibly for the game after that”, said Riley. “After about a 10 day period it’s going to be how they feel with what they have if they are going to be able to perform pain wise. It is going to be a little while before we’ll know exactly before they will be back.”
Riley told the Big Ten Coaches Teleconference that running back Devine Ozigbo will not practice this week after suffering a sprained ankle against the Illini.
“We are going to practice three days this week starting today”, added Riley.” When they all come back on Sunday we’ll know in how good of shape he’ll be to get ready for the game.”
Riley did say he’s hopeful both offensive lineman Tanner Farmer and wide receiver Alonzo Moore will be ready for Indiana.
