Saturday’s Red-White spring game will give Nebraska fans a sneak peek at next season’s Huskers but not much more than that, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Defensive coordinator Bob Diaco says they won’t be showing the entire scheme of their new 3-4 defense.
“If you are interested in filming the spring game to figure out what we are going to do on defense you are going to waste a lot of film and footage”, said Diaco.
Diaco says from a players standpoint the spring game is a chance to rehearse what they have already learned.
“To me they are not auditioning for me”, added Diaco. “They are not trying out to be in Cats on Broadway. A dress rehearsal might be a better way to describe it if we are doing Broadway terms.”
The Huskers have a final practice this afternoon before Saturday’s spring game.
