Day one of the NCAA outdoor championship at Drake University in Des Moines went well for the University of Nebraska track and field qualifiers.
Advancing to the finals were freshmen Austin Braman in the javelin and Nicholas Gordon in the long jump. Freshman Adam Dailey (400 hurdles) and sophomore Lukas Hulett (400) moved on to the semifinals in their respective events.
On the women’s side, sophomore Epley Bullock advanced to the high jump finals. Dusty Jonas. The world leader in the high jump had no problem advancing to Friday’s 7 p.m. final.
