A 23 year old Omaha woman is in critical condition after being left inside a burning home near 65th and Maple Street in Omaha Saturday evening. When firefighters arrived, a neighbor told them Tawnisha Harbour was in a wheelchair and inside the burning home. Firefighters were able to get Harbour out of the home but she suffered burns to her legs, arms and face. She is now in Clarkson Hospital’s burn unit. Tawnisha’s mother, 40 year old Cherie Harbour was arrested Sunday and booked on charges of abuse of a vulnerable adult. Authorities say that Tawnisha should not have been allowed to stay home alone. Investigators say the fire is suspicious and the investigation into the cause is underway. It was Cherie Harbour’s 40th birthday Sunday.
