The Oakland Raiders signed former Nebraska quarterback Sam Keller. Keller will compete for one of the spots on the roster behind starter JaMarcus Russell.
Andrew Walter, who started at Arizona State while Keller was a freshman there, is the only other quarterback returning from last season, but the Raiders also signed Marques Tuiasosopo as a free agent this offseason.
The undrafted Keller set a school record by completing 63% of his passes for 2,422 yards. He also tossed 14 TDs in nine games before having his year end with a shoulder injury against Texas in October, paving the way for Joe Ganz to take over as the starter.Keller, returns closer to home where he attended high school in the Bay area.
