Grand Prairie was ahead 4-2 when they broke the game open in the fifth inning, against Lincoln starter Jarrett Gardner (3-3). The Airhogs sent ten men to the plate in the fifth scoring seven run in part to three home runs. J.B. Tucker and Drew Holder each hit solo shots, and Derek Nicholson finished off the inning with a three-run bomb to take an 11-2 lead. Gardner lasted just 4 1/3 innings, giving up nine runs on 12 hits.
