The Lincoln Saltdogs scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to beat the Wichita Wingnuts 5-4. The win moves the Saltdogs back into a first place tie in the north division of the American Association.
Shawn McGill took a 2-0 pitch to deep left center driving in two runs off former Saltdog Byron Embry. The hit came with two outs.
McGill, along with Dustin Yount who singled with two outs to keep the rally alive each went 3 for 4. The Saltdogs head to Sioux Falls, who are just two games behind Lincoln and Sioux City.
