More than 12-hundred people came to Lincoln to hear former oil tycoon T.Boone Pickens talk about his plan to reduce our dependence on foreign oil. Pickens says more drilling is not the answer.
“And you’re not going to get enough oil off of the east and west coast or Anwar, somebody said ‘well, you’re opposed to it’, I’m not opposed to anything that’s American and I only have one enemy, and that’s foreign oil.
Pickens wants to use a mixture of natural gas and wind energy to solve the problem. He says, with Nebraska being a part of the wind corridor, the state stands to make a lot of money.
