The Omaha Royals pounded New Orleans with seven runs over the first two innings on their way to an 8-2 victory, their second in a row.
Gookie Dawkins and Ryan Shealy homered and Chris Lubanski went 3 for 3. Shealy has been red hot over his last 10 games hitting .345. Zephyrs starter Ruddy Lugo made it through just an inning and a third, giving up seven runs on six hits with two of those being the home run blasts.
Ramon Colon evened his record to 5-5, allowing just two runs in his six innings of work and was effectively wild walking five, but striking out six.
After the game, Shealy and Dawkins talk about the win, and manager Mike Jirschele talks about the offensive burst.
