Coming off its first 20-win season in more than a decade, the Nebraska men’s basketball team will play nearly half its schedule (14 of 29 regular-season games) against teams that reached the 2008 postseason.
The schedule, announced by third-year coach Doc Sadler on Wednesday, will give fans a chance to see 18 regular-season home games in Lincoln. Among the non-conference games for the Huskers will be matchups with Creighton (Nov. 29), Alabama State (Dec. 3) and UMBC (Dec. 23), three opponents that reached the postseason last year. As well as a visit from Rick Majerus and the St. Louis Billikens.
Nebraska opens the home slate with an exhibition against Chadron State on Nov. 7. In conference play, the Huskers open on national television on ESPN2 with a contest against Missouri in Lincoln on Jan. 10.
