The Huskers getting ready for a tough challenge this week in the Baylor Bears. 3-4 on the year, 1-2 in the Big 12, same as the Huskers. As he walked off the practice field yesterday, head coach Bo Pelini said his team was ready.
It wasn’t that long ago that Baylor was considered the laughing stock of the Big 12, but that has changed a bit this year and a lot of that has to do with their freshmen quarterback Robert Griffin. In his first seven games he’s thrown 155 passes and has yet to throw an interception. What’s more impressive are his legs. Pelini’s biggest concern is going to come on 3rd down.
His ability to scramble and run out of trouble may come from the fact that he set Texas Track record in the 110 and 300 hurdles.
Don’t know how much we’ll see of Ricky Thenarse, the junior safety, but he and the secondary will be in for quite a challenge defending the spread and a scrambling quarterback. He’s feeling better and expect to see more of him as the season goes on.
