We found out Friday that six people were wrongly convicted on the 1985 murder of Helen Wilson in Beatrice. The real killer is a man that died in 1992. State Senator Ray Aguilar says this is a real eye opener.
“That’s a huge amount of concern and that was one of the main arguments against the death penalty, not only in Nebraska, but everywhere, it happens,Innocent people are put to death sometimes.”
Aguilar says it should be a requirement to have DNA testing done before anyone is put to death in the state.
