It looks like the federal government will come to the rescue of the Big 3 automakers. But Creighton economist Dr. Ernie Goss disagrees. Goss says the Delta and United Airlines both able to operate when they filed for bankruptcy a few years ago and the domestic car companies can, too. Goss says the government would have to guarantee warantees on newly purchased cars, but the Big 3 could still operate while undergoing restructuring.
