NU hoops changing Saturday’s tip time

December 16, 2008 By Bill Pollock

The Nebraska Athletic Department announced that the tip time for the Husker men’s basketball game against IPFW on Saturday, Dec. 20, will be moved ahead two hours to 5 p.m. CT

This will help accommodate Husker fans who may also want to see the NCAA Volleyball Championship match at 7 p.m. in Omaha that night.

Nebraska officials had originally hoped to move the game to an early afternoon tipoff. However, the time required to take down the UNL commencement ceremony setup and clean the facility would not allow for a tip earlier than 5 p.m.
