Car hits house in Bellevue

February 5, 2009 By Karla James

No one was hurt in a high speed chase Wednesday night.  17 year old Kevin Hensel was behind the wheel when he jumped a curb, missed a turn and ran into a house in Bellevue.  The home owner was home at the time but was not hurt.  Police say that Hensel was trying to see how fast he could go to see it register on a speed monitor.  An officer tried to stop Hensel but he gave chase.  That ended when he hit the home.  The chase reached a speed of over 90 miles an hour in a residential neighborhood.  Hensel faces two felony charges of criminal mischief and using a vehicle to avoid arrest.  Other charges are pending.  Hensel will be charged as an adult.
